Capability
Heat treatment
Heat treatment determines the final mechanical and structural properties of the casting. It is also necessary for the removal of stresses that may arise in the casting after casting. Therefore, for our castings in steel and white cast iron, this is a necessary step in the production process.
Allard-Europe has 5 gas furnaces with fully computer-controlled temperature controls that can handle temperatures up to 1250 degrees Celsius.
These were recently joined by a bell furnace for preheating steel castings so they are ready for welding on material.
To quench pieces, Allard-Europe uses water or forced air. Large pieces can be submerged within 2 minutes.
